Fee: $480 for 12 hours.
Hourly*: $40/hour with a 3 hour minimum per visit.
*Twins or multiples: $50/hour.
Includes a complimentary prenatal visit between 32-36 weeks gestation.
Prior to baby’s arrival between 32-36 weeks gestation, I will visit you at home to discuss your home setup (eg. safe sleeping arrangements for baby and caregiver(s), perineal care setup for the birthing parent), meal preferences for small meals that I can prepare*, pet(s) and/or sibling adjustment support, basic newborn care, and resource sharing for additional postpartum support.
*ingredients/groceries for small meals to be purchased on your own, or to be reimbursed.
Hours for in-person visits can be adjusted to what will work best for you and your family. The first postpartum visit is recommended to be within the 1-2 weeks of baby’s arrival.
Examples of postpartum support may include: light housekeeping, snack/small meal preparation, childminding (while at least one caregiver is present in the home), breast/chestfeeding support, and emotional support.
A sample postpartum support schedule may look like the following:
(Depending on hospital discharge plans: 24-36 hours for a vaginal birth; 48-72 hours for a cesarean birth):
- Week 1: 10am - 1pm (3 hours)
- Week 2: 12pm - 3pm (3 hours)
- Week 3: 5pm - 8pm (3 hours)
- Week 4: 10am - 1pm (3 hours)
Overnight shifts (maximum 8 hours per shift) may also be available upon request. Parking is expected to be provided by the client.
Can be combined with Birth Doula Support Package, but a total three (3) prenatals will be offered for the Birth and Postpartum Support Package.
